I was walking by a cemetary today on the way home from work. It got me thinking. I now know what I want when I die. Its a little wierd. Then again, I’m not completely normal.

I’ve decided when I die, I want part of the flesh cut of my leg and a metal plate embedded into the bone with my name and birth and death dates. Then i want to be placed in a funeral pyre with the gifts from my loved ones. I’m not talking creamation, I want my bones to survive. Then I want my bones and the remains of the gifts put in a coffin. With me in the coffin will be a time capsule with a recording of me and some documents about who I was. That way future civilizations can benefit from my wierdness.

About 3 weeks ago I broke Windows. I was trying to manually remove a trojan since I couldn’t find a program to remove it. Adware/Spyware removal programs and my virus scan program couldn’t fix it. I thought I had backed up the registry, obviously I didn’t.

Took me 3 weeks to stop procrastinating and get my system up and running. After windows was reinstalled, it took me 9 hours to get Windows where I wanted it. I hope to never need to do that again.

I’ve been reading up on parallel universes lately. Its an intresting topic. Mostly what I’ve read was written by Dr. Michio Kaku. He has this way of explaining physics in an entertaining way. I can understand heavily technical physics explainations, but I’d prefer to hear his explanations. I just finished reading a transcript from a TV show he and several other physicists were on. I also listened to an interview with Dr. Kaku on a BBC radio show. Pretty intresting stuff.

On a semi-related note, scientists seem to have discovered dark matter.

After showing my friend Sam my last post he told me he was talking to our friend PJ. Apparently PJ has been having very weird dreams lately. Lately I’ve had the feeling of a presence when I’m out and about. I don’t know if it means anything, but I gotta admit these seem to be unlikely coincidences.

The past few days someone has been logging into a friends AIM account. The wierd thing is, he’s dead. He died in May of 2001. I don’t think anyone knows his password. I checked the users profile and it was his profile. AOL didn’t recycle the screen name. It could be his parents going through his stuff, turning on his computer and AIM auto-logging in. I dunno, its both wierd and kinda creepy. Who knows, maybe they have internet in the afterlife.

Things like that get you kind of thinking. Makes you wonder what things would have been if they were still alive. Most of all it just makes you think about them. Jamie, if your out there, you rule!

Penguin BullyI found this amusing picture whilst looking through a forum. Its pretty funny. Its about 450kb, so please let it load. When watching this its hard to believe there are people that say that animals dont exibit human-like tendancies. It may not be what it looks like at all. I’m no expert on animals after all, but it does look like that penguin is getting pushed into the water by another penguin. It may be that its 6:18am and I still havent slept yet, but thats the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while. It could also be that I’m easily amused. Especially when I’m bored. Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, THWAP, SPLASH!

Well last night I had a scare. I noticed I had a full recycle bin so I went to empty it. It popped up with a dialog box asking “Do you want to delete WINDOWS?” That totally caught my off guard. I went into the recycle bin and it had NO files in it at all. At this time I started AVG to hunt for any viruses. Nothing. I then tried the disk clean up wizard and got nowhere. I then tried a long shot and it worked. I logged out of my windows account and logged back in.

Well today was a nice one at work. I clocked in and was told not to log into the computer because the server was down. We all sat there for 2 hours and 50 minutes before they told us to go home.

Apparently the calls we make are routed through the server and through T1 lines. From what I overheard the server couldnt connect with the T1 lines and Qwest couldn’t come out till tomarrow to fix it. They did what they could and couldnt get the server working.

As much as I would have liked to stay the whole shift so my paycheck is as big as it can be, I’m happy we got sent home. I just hope the server is working Friday so I don’t have another day off.

I just read an intresting article about escaping from the universe in the event of ours comming to an end. It will happen, just not in our lifetimes.

Apparently with physics as we currently underatand it, its possible to escape this universe and enter a universe next to our own. It involves wormholes (sometimes called Einstein-Rosen bridges) to travel from one to the other. The article also goes into detail about making artificial wormholes in case we cant find one to use.
